The car was run by military pilot Andy Green.

In every attempt he has been speeding up, collecting data that will allow him to overcome the sound barrier and the land speed record, which is now nearly 1228 km / h. Green reached that speed in October 1997 in the Black Rock Desert, Nevada, with the Rustic Missile Car, the first to overcome the sound barrier.

The creators of Bloodhound LSR hope to improve the world record in the summer when the car will be equipped with the rocket engines of the Norwegian company Namo.

The pilot will again be Green. Now Bloodhound El Ar is powered by a Eurofighter-Typhoon jet engine.
