Bulgarian grandmaster Veselin Topalov defeated black figures Hikaru Nakamura (USA) in the first game of the first round of the Chess Grand Prix in the German city of Hamburg with a prize pool of $ 130,000.

Topalov forced his opponent to surrender to the 66th turn. The second party between the two is tomorrow, and the Bulgarians will have the whites in it.

The race until November 17 is the direct elimination in two games of classic chess, and in the case of draws there is a timed chess break and a blitz to broadcast the winner.
