Scandal in Italy: Balotelli left the field because of racism!

Another racist scandal rocked Italy. Former Italian national Mario Balotelli was involved in it this time. The striker left the pitch in the second leg of the Verona - Brescia match after the home fans started offending him on a racist basis.

Balotelli stopped, picked up the ball and kicked it in the direction of Verona's fans, then left the field. In the end, the referee stopped the match for a few minutes, and the stadium announcer warned the ultras that in the next offense, the match would be terminated.

Brescia's football players and coaching staff eventually succeeded in dissuading Mario Balotelli and he returned to the field to play the match.
