Actor Joseph Shamley died

Actor Joseph Shamley left us tonight, according to the Union of Artists.

As a longtime actor in the troupe of the Ivan Vazov National Theater, Joseph will remain in the history of the Bulgarian theater with his dozens of reincarnations on stage. by Konstantin Iliev, "Flying Attempt" by Jordan Radichkov, "Caligula" by Albert Camus, "Descent from Morgan" by Arthur Miller, "Theremin: music, love and espionage" by Peter Zelenka.

The Shalom organization says Shamli is only 47 years old. He is the recipient of the 1995 ASKEER Award for Supporting Actor for Billy Bibitt in "Fly Over Cuckoo's Nest" by Dale Wasserman and Ken Kissie, and ASKEER 2016 for Supporting Actor for Tera in No Man's Land by Danis Tanovic.

We will remember him for his magnificent roles in the National Theater, and for the Bulgarian Jewish community he left another void. As the founder and head of the Children's Theater School and Adult School at the Beit Shalom Jewish Center, Shamley brought up several generations of love for the theater and self-confidence on stage, realizing wonderful productions, Shalom said.
