The eighth generation of the Porsche 911 arrived in the Peruvian market

Porsche, the luxury car brand, introduced the eighth generation of the 911 model to the Peruvian market. The model name is 992 and currently has two versions: the S and the 4S. In the middle of the year, the company will also bring the Carrera y Carrera S versions.

The value of this new model starts at US $ 154,000 and the company aims to sell 15 cars in the remainder of 2019, said Gonzalo Flechelle, general manager of Porsche in Peru. He added that a car has already been sold in the presale period that began at the beginning of the year.

Competitors

Flechelle also commented that in the segment of luxury sports cars in Peru, the Porsche 911 has more than 50% market share. According to the DiarioMotor web portal, its main competitors are the BMW i8, Jaguar F-Type, Mercedes-AMG GT, the Audi R8 and the Aston Martin Vantage. According to Flechelle, the price of rival models varies between US $ 150,000 and US $ 250,000.

Customers of this luxurious model are usually between 50 and 55 years old. Globally, 98% of customers of 911 vehicles are men, while only 2% are women. However, in the Peruvian case, the share of women amounts to 10%.

In the country there are only a little more than 200 units of the Porsche 911. This model was manufactured more than 56 years ago.
