[Nike] Posted October 27, 2019 Posted October 27, 2019 RAM manufacturers have begun to compete to prove that their memories are the best in the market. Lately, the frequency records of RAM modules are being broken through overclocking with some ease. Note that overclocking RAM modules is not something simple. Crucial has managed to beat the record with the 8GB Ballistix Elite, reaching 6 024MHz. To achieve these records, liquid nitrogen is needed to maintain temperatures. As is logical, temperatures with overclocking rise a lot and to cool them this liquid is used. The temperature is brought to below zero, but even below zero there are limits. The temperature cannot be lowered infinitely, there is a margin. Crucial breaks the world record for frequencies thanks to the Ballistix Elite This record has been set by the professionals of the overclocking teams of ASUS and Micron. To beat this record, the Ryzen 5 3600X processor has been used. This is interesting, since for this type of records Intel processors are usually used. The motherboard used is the ASUS Crosshair VIII Impact that features the X570 chipset. "Both overclocking teams worked tirelessly to fine-tune the BIOS settings in our recently launched ROG Crosshair VIII Impact to unlock the capabilities of the Micron matrix," said Albert Chang, General Director of ASUS Motherboards. In recent months we have seen Crucial with Ballistix memories in the last five months. Note that Crucial implements memories of Micron, which seems to be the best performance offers.
