[Nike]
Some time ago, before there was the Hyundai N division, there was a recurring joke among car fans, where it was said that the Hyundai Veloster was so slow, that even a van H1 (Starex in Mexico) could overcome it. And it was a bit true. All those who have driven commercial utilities with diesel engines, know that they recover quickly and that they do not have much trouble taking high speeds, at least when they are unloaded. But after the jokes, Hyundai has amended its sports profile with the N division, creating two scary hot hatch such as the i30 N and the Veloster N, but unfortunately for the Veloster, the H1 is again a faster vehicle ... When reality surpasses humor This year, during the famous "April Fools' Day", Hyundai Germany published an animated gif on how an H1 N would be, something totally irrational and fascinating at the same time. And of course, everything was there, waiting for someone to take the challenge. If there is a country crazier than Russia, that country is Australia, who not only seem to have a passion for car racing in the blood, but are also quite executives in carrying out crazy things like these, with a certain degree of professionalism. So Hyundai Australia and the N division made a survey among their followers about which car they would like to see prepared by the sports division of the brand. As you can guess, the winner was H1. This is not the first time we see a brand tune a van. I will remind you that Renault put a Formula One engine on Espace and that Ford also tuned a Transit. But the case of the H1 N is different, because it is the only one of all these experiments that has kept its eight seats in place. That is, it works just like the normal model. The specifications Hands-on, the first thing was to replace the 2.5 CRDi engine, with a V6 3.5 Twin Turbo engine, manufactured from the same V6 3.3 that drives the Kia Stinger and the Genesis G70. This engine develops about 400 HP and 409 lb-ft of torque. Send your power to the rear wheels thanks to an eight-speed automatic transmission and a welded differential. It has electronic damping, sports brakes on the front axle, sports exhaust and 19 "wheels of the I30 N. Inside, the H1 - which in Australia is known as iMAX - has two sports seats upholstered in suede and leather, plus a sports steering wheel, borrowed from the i30 N. On the outside, the look mimics that of N products, including the unmistakable light blue tone, skirts and diffusers with red edges and a grill that proudly looks like an N badge. If you notice the sunroof open on the ceiling, it is because it does not have air conditioning and you should already imagine the heat that must be done there with an engine high power
