The most significant melting point was during the heat waves this summer, when ice content melted over two weeks, equivalent to drinking water in Switzerland for one year. The sad estimate is the loss of 2% of the total volume of Swiss glaciers in just one year, and in the last 5 years 10% of the glaciers in the country have been lost.
