[Nike]
So far in the market we had the RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT from AMD based on Navi 10. These graphics cards manage to compete with the mid-range NVIDIA graphics and are a good quality solution. The company had plans to expand the Navi range and for now they come true with the RX 5500 and RX 5500M. These new AMD graphics cards based on the RDNA architecture are designed for the input range. The RX 5500 is a very interesting solution for 1080p gaming that stands above the RX 580. We could say that it is the natural successor of the Polaris architecture graphic. The RX 5500M is a graphic for new generation gaming laptops. AMD makes RX 5500 and RX 5500M graphics official According to the performance tests offered by AMD, these new RX 5500 and RX 5500M are located between the GTX 1650 and GTX 1660. We speak of a silicon surface of 158mm² compared to 221mm² of the RX 480 based on Polaris. The RX 5500 in terms of performance is somewhat higher than the RX 580, so it would be its natural replacement. This graphic also has a 30% lower consumption than the RX 480. According to AMD, this new Navi graphic has a TDP of 150W, which is very good. amd rx 5500 benchmark nvidia gtx 1650 - RX 5500: AMD makes official its new graphics card for gaming in 1080p Both the RX 5500 and the RX 5500M have a total of 1 408 Shaders Processors. The desktop variant works at 1 717MHz and arrives in Boost mode at 1 845MHz to offer a total TDP of 150W. While the RX 5500M has a frequency of 1 448MHz and in Boost mode it reaches 1 645MHz for a TDP of 85W. Refrigeration Improvement Perhaps the most interesting element of the RX 5500 is that it has a heatsink with a large central fan. For the images it seems to be a 92mm fan, which should be enough to cool this graph well. Curiously, AMD did not opt for this system for the RX 5700 Series and opted for a blower.
