amd ryzen 9 3950x gigabyte - Gigabyte: Publica una guía de overclocking del procesador AMD Ryzen 9 3950X

A few days ago it was revealed that AMD had delayed the launch of the Ryzen 9 3950X processor. This processor will arrive in November, apparently because TSMC has more silicon demand at 7nm than production capacity. Gigabyte has released an overclocking guide for X570 motherboards. This document shows the Ryzen 9 3950X with overclocking at 4.3GHz in all cores.

The document rates this frequency as ‘Sweet Spot’. It would be the optimum frequency for quality performance, adjusted consumption and controlled temperatures. Note that a few days ago it was revealed that some of the reasons for delaying this processor were working frequencies. Reportedly, the frequency would not reach that shown by AMD in its presentation.

To overclocking this 16-core and 32-wire processor, the Gigabyte X570 AORUS Master motherboard has been used. A total of 16GB of DDR4 @ 3200MHz RAM has been integrated into the motherboard. The EK-KIT P360 liquid cooling block has been used to cool the system. Even with this cooling system, the processor was at 97 ° C.

The temperature is an important problem, since if it is not possible to adjust the temperature or it will not reach that frequency easily. Specifically, the processor operates at a voltage of 1.416V, approaching the limit of 1.45V. Under Prime 95 the temperature of 101ºC has been reached and the chipset operated at 68ºC.
