The leader of the taxi drivers' union, Hugo Ospina, confirmed to the Channel 1 Information System that the yellow spot, dump trucks and truck drivers are evaluating the possibility of joining the national transport stop that began on Monday.

"We have made a decision as a result of the problem and the critical situation of all our public service drivers, not only in Bogotá, but throughout the national territory because we are suspending driver's licenses for appearances that are being invented," he said. Ospina

He also said that they summon a meeting for September 27 to all public service drivers whose driver's license was suspended, and to those who have already made two photo-cults and are going to be sanctioned

"We are going to show solidarity throughout the national territory with the problems of all public service drivers," he added.

Around 30,000 taxi drivers would be those who would support the strike, confirmed Manuel Gil, spokesman for the union.

On Tuesday, the Secretary of Mobility, Juan Pablo Bocarejo, informed that from noon the peak and license plate for intermunicipal taxis and buses in Bogotá were lifted, a measure that will be applied for two days, pending the normalization of public transport in the capital of the country. For now, the District has not ruled against the taxi drivers' announcement to join the strike.
