Jesús Manuel Ruiz climbs the tables of the Amaya Theater to tell feelings and emotions through well-known poems of the last three centuries

The Madrid Theater Amaya (C / General Martínez Campos, 9) hosts this weekend the production 'Casualities (in verse)', a story about two people who go by train and that during their trip review emotions and feelings that have picked up Over the last three centuries, poets such as Miguel Hernández, Federico García Lorca or León Felipe. The characters tell the story of those poems, of which the text has not been modified at all, reflecting such current issues as violence, clandestine love or animal abandonment.

But the word 'verse' of the title does not lead anyone to deceit. As Jesús Manuel Ruiz, the protagonist and creator of this production, clarifies, he is not a poetry recital: "We do not read anything, everything is memorized and dramatized. The writers' works have a presentation, a knot and an outcome, so that seem prose. " Although Jesús Manuel is known for his link with television, his love for acting is earlier: "I studied Psychology and Dramatic Art in secret, because my parents wouldn't let me. And, although people know me more as a journalist, I'm an actor first ".

All the poems that come out of the voice of Jesus Manuel Ruiz are accompanied by music. The piano of Murcia Martínez Martínez Pino becomes the other protagonist of this special work. From his keys will come both original compositions, composed by Pablo Martínez himself, but also by great authors, such as William Gillock, Robert D. Vandall or Francisco Alonso, known for his pasodoble
