The Slovenian Primoz Roglic is the new leader of the Tour of Spain, after the individual time trial, which was held on Tuesday between Jurançon and Pau, 36.2 kilometers, in which Colombians Nairo Quintana and Miguel Ángel López lost time, normal, and must go back on the mountain to continue in the fight for the race.

Undoubtedly, the fight between the four ‘fantastic’ at the intermediate points was interesting, but the Jumbo Visma runner achieved his goal, while the others, Nairo, López and Spaniard Alejandro Valverde, tried to minimize losses.

Tadej Pogacar, of the first of the general, achieved the best time at km 11, with 18 min 34 s. Lopez lost 42 s, but Roglic scored the best with 18 min 13 s. Nairo passed with 1 min 26 s below the Slovenian.

And in the second point of timing, Roglic showed again that he is the best and with 33 min 07 s he was first. Pogacar lost 48 s, Valverde 54 s, López 1 min 32 s and Nairo 2 min 12 s.

And in the goal everything was confirmed: Roglic won the stage with 47 min 05 s, and became leader. Valverde was second overall. The Slovenian, in the final km, surpassed Lopez. Tremendous!

Pogacar lost 1 min 29 s with Roglic; Valverde 1 min 38 s. López 2 min and Nairo 3 min 06 s.

The fraction was dominated by Patrick Bevin, who with a time of 47 minutes 30 seconds led for a good amount of time the first place in the classification of the stage.

“My strategy has been to save in the steep to get time in the final part. We'll see if my record is good enough to win, ”said Bevin.
