At 1.83 meters tall, he plays in the grassroots position and currently plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder of the NBA. Chris Paul, nicknamed "CP3", was elected by New Orleans Hornets in fourth position of the 2005 NBA Draft, proclaiming himself at the end of the Rookie-winning season of the Year. He is considered one of the best players in the NBA, as his awards attest throughout his career in the league. He has been an All-Star on nine occasions and was part of the Best NBA Quintet and the Best defensive quintet in 2008. With the US team he won the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and at the London 2012 Olympic Games and Bronze at the 2006 World Cup in Japan. the beginning Chris Paul is the second son of Charles Edward Paul and Robin Jones. He has an older brother, Charles "C.J." Paul During his childhood, he spent a lot of time with his grandfather at the gas station he opened, helping him with his work. Jones Chevron, the name of the gas station, was the first run by an African-American in North Carolina. Chris learned a lot about love, discipline and basketball from his parents. Charles and Robin were disciplined with the education of their children. Paul grew up in the shadow of Wake Forest he was fond of, especially after the arrival of Tim Duncan in 1993. He was also a big fan of the ACC and Michael Jordan. However, during his childhood, football was the sport that most caught Paul's attention. Although he did not enjoy the right size for this sport, Paul was very fast and was a charismatic leader. He played quarterback, running back and linebacker, and his coaches never took him off the field. His father, Charles, rarely missed a game of his son. In the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, Paul achieved his greatest success with the national team when he hung the gold medal after beating Spain in the final. Paul's role in that team was a substitute for Jason Kidd. In the 2012 London Olympics Chris Paul, already based on the team, again won the gold medal, his second, to win in the final, as happened four years earlier, to Spain by 107-100. In this Olympiad, Chris Paul managed to get ahead of the classification in steals (2.5 per game) adding to them, 5.1 assists in just 25 minutes on average per game.
