Soccer is no longer just football players. No, at least, in all its dimension. Around this sport with 22 players, a ball and an arbitration team, an industry has been born that moves billions around the world and increasingly has more influence in more sectors worldwide.

Precisely, thinking of bringing together the entire world football industry, World Football Summit was born, a congress that will gather this September 23 and 24 in Madrid to a multitude of personalities of the planet football: presidents of clubs and competitions, soccer players, media…

"From outside it is thought to be a congress of soccer players but it is not only that. Here we are going to gather all the soccer companies," explains Jan Alessie in the writing of AS, new 'media partner' of this congress.

From World Football Summit they have decided ‘to advance the lines’ and go for all qualifying this agreement with AS as “important bet”. "Soccer is the biggest content generator and there is still a lot to exploit," they point out, stressing the importance of having a global medium as a partner in an event like this.

In a similar vein, Vicente Jiménez, director of AS, emphasized the interesting thing about the existence of this congress for the evolution in the professionalization of football and club management. "It will require knowing the functioning of everything," he said, highlighting the interest as a means of communication to know in depth how the ins and outs of football work in order to inform.

At the World Football Summit, several personalities of the highest level of European football will be present, such as Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, or Peter Moore, president of Liverpool, but also sectors that are booming such as women's football or North American soccer with the Presence of Darren Eales, president of Atlanta United, MLS champion, or Laura Georges, secretary general of the French Federation. "The growth of football in the US will be the icing on the cake," Jiménez said, highlighting the importance of American football, with its brand new world champions as the greatest exponent and that AS is closely following its editions in America.

Madrid, the ‘Silicon Valley’ of football

"That it is held in Madrid gives it the same relevance as a presentation on new technologies in Silicon Valley," they explain from the organization and it is not for less. The celebration of the last Champions League final and the strength of the Spanish (and Madrid) teams in recent years have turned Madrid into a soccer Mecca.

This September the keys in which the football industry moves and will move in the future will be exhibited in the capital of Spain and AS will be the partner in charge of reaching all over the world. The ball gathers and jumps all the borders.
