At the UK Grand Prix this weekend at Silverstone, Triumph officially unveiled the new edition of the Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition. Constructed by the same development team responsible for the propulsion system currently supplied to the Moto2 category in Motomondial, the motorcycle will be produced in only 765 copies for Europe.

With a maximum power of 130 hp at 12,250 rpm and a torque of 80 Nm at 9,750 rpm, the new 3-cylinder engine, 765 cc, is more efficient than the one on Street Triple, having a series of components taken directly from the program. Moto2 engine development. These include: titanium intake valves, pistons reinforced with DLC treated bolts, cams with new profiles, intake pipes, connecting rods, air intakes and crankshafts that have been modified, as well as increased compression ratio.

The titanium Arrow barrel exhaust system was specifically designed for the new Daytona and optimized for performance, efficiency and weight. The new gearbox, with a first gear identical to the one used by the Moto2 engine, offers a sensation of driving that does not differ much from that of a motorcycle from Motomondial. The rider can choose between five modes of control (Rain, Road, Sport, Track and Rider Configurable - configurable by the user), each mode bringing changes at the level of ABS and Traction Control. The motorcycle is also equipped with a quick-shifter for faster acceleration.

The multifunctional panel with TFT color display also includes a stopwatch for use on the track. The frame, the tilt, the seat frame and other attachments are made of aluminum, and the hinges are carbon fiber, making the bike lighter than the Daytona 675. The new model features Ohlins front / rear suspension (43mm NIX30 fork and TTX36 rear shock absorber), state-of-the-art Brembo Stylema brake calipers and a lighter dashboard.

The price of this model starts from 15,765 Euro, but it is possible to increase at resale, considering that this is a limited edition.
