Windows 7 - Microsoft support issues

Windows 7 was launched 10 years ago and benefited from Microsoft's normal support by 2015. Since then, for 5 years, Windows 7 has benefited from so-called expanded support.

The extended support means that the manufacturer will continue to provide security updates and to repair certain operating problems detected during this period, but no new features are released through the updates.

After January 14, 2020, Microsoft will provide support for Windows 7 only for a fee.

For customers who purchased volume licenses for Windows 7 Professional and Windows 7 Enterprise, extended support will end in January 2023.
