Kyle Kuzma

Kyle Alexander Kuzma (Flint, Michigan, July 24, 1995) is an American basketball player who belongs to the Los Angeles Lakers NBA squad. At 2.06 meters tall, he plays in the power forward position.

Sports career
First years
He played in his high school stage at the Bentley High School in Michigan, where in his last season he averaged 22 points and 7 rebounds per game, being chosen the 25th power forward of the whole country.

college
He played three seasons with the Utes of the University of Utah, in which he averaged 10.1 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game.2 In his last season he was included in the best quintet of the Pac-12 Conference, after averaging 16.4 points and 9.3 rebounds.

Professional
He was chosen in the twenty-seventh position of the 2017 NBA Draft by the Brooklyn Nets, 4 but that same night he was transferred along with Brook Lopez to the Los Angeles Lakers in exchange for D'Angelo Russell and Timofey Mozgov.5 He disputed the NBA Summer Leagues with the Lakers, being the main protagonist of the final, in which they defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, achieving 30 points and 10 rebounds.6 In total he played six games in which he averaged 20.5 points , 5.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists. 7

He debuted as a professional in an official game on October 19, against Los Angeles Clippers, achieving 8 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist.

On November 3, 2017, in his first starting game, he got his first double-double, with 21 points and 13 rebounds in the victory against Brooklyn Nets.9 On November 17, he recorded another double-double scoring 30 points , with 10 rebounds, in the defeat against Phoenix Suns.10 Kuzma was named Rookie of the Month of the Western Conference for his matches played between October and November.
