A tremor in Chile was felt in Argentina

A strong earthquake has shaken the Argentine town of San Juan, on the border with Chile. According to the National Seismic Prevention Institute of Argentina, the earthquake has reached a magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter scale. At the moment there is no evidence of damage.

The tremor was recorded at 11:18 local time (13:18 in Euskadi), had a focal depth of 153 kilometers and its epicenter was recorded 218 kilometers from Santiago de Chile.
