Mr.Espinoza ♔♔♔ Posted August 4, 2019 Posted August 4, 2019 LeBron Raymone James (Akron, Ohio, December 30, 1984) is an American basketball player who currently belongs to the Los Angeles Lakers squad of the NBA. At 2.03 meters tall, his position is that of a forward, but his talent, versatility and physical power allow him to play both basic and power forward.1 James is considered one of the best basketball players in the world and of history.2 When James was proclaimed three times Mr. Basketball in Ohio during high school, and was barely attending his sophomore season at St. Vincent – St. Mary High School, was already considered by the media as the future great star of the NBA. He signed a $ 90 million contract with Nike before debuting in the NBA. With 18 years, James was chosen in the first position of the 2003 NBA Draft by Cleveland Cavaliers. With the Cavs he ratified the promising future that was worked during his stay at the institute, and in his first season he won the NBA Rookie of the Year award. Since arriving in the league, LeBron has recorded many precocity records, including the youngest player to reach 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, 25,000 and 30,000 points. Since 2005 he has been All-Star (which resulted three times MVP) and has been part of the Best Quintets of the NBA, being elected twelve times in the First Quintet. In 2006, James finished second in the 2005-06 NBA MVP vote. His most important individual prize came on May 4, 2009, when he was named MVP of the 2008-09 season, an award he would also win in the 2009-10, 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons. In 2012, 2013 and 2016 he was champion of the NBA and MVP of the Finals.3 James, po[CENSORED]rly known as "The King," "King James" and "The Chosen One," led the Cavaliers to their first NBA Finals in 2007, where they fell to San Antonio Spurs. From the 2006 Playoffs, Cleveland was always present in the final phase of the NBA until his departure from the franchise in 2010. Since his return, in 2014, the Cavs played four consecutive NBA Finals, where they won their first franchise title in 2016 With the United States national team he won the bronze medal at the 2006 World Cup in Japan, also a bronze in Athens 2004, and finally two Olympic golds in Beijing 2008 and London 2012, having the Spanish team as a rival in both finals. When LeBron was born, his mother, Gloria James, was only 16 years old and his biological father, Anthony McClelland, an ex-convict, disregarded his son since his birth. Gloria pulled him forward alone and without help, a situation aggravated by the death of his mother when LeBron was barely a baby. This circumstance accentuated the difficulties of a family that lived in a constant struggle to support themselves. Gloria could not find a permanent job and both were moving from floor to floor continuously, and all the slums of Akron, a city of more than 200,000 inhabitants, less than an hour south of Cleveland were known. Despite the circumstances, Gloria worked hard to be a good mother and protect her son LeBron from the poverty and violence of the streets. However, this was not an easy task. When LeBron was two years old and Gloria started dating Eddie Jackson, the problems began. In 1990, Eddie went to prison for cocaine trafficking. However, LeBron established ties with Jackson, and Gloria liked that her son could see in him a father figure. His brothers, Terry and Curt, also helped in difficult situations.4 From an early age, LeBron showed a great instinct for basketball. He spent a lot of time playing with a hoop and a ball that his mother Gloria gave him. He also enjoyed very good genetics, and although his mother was only 1.65 meters tall, he had relatives who were much taller.4 The nomadic life he had led with his mother prevented LeBron from having friends. When he entered school, he had trouble making friends easily, as he felt ashamed of the family life he had led. He began to find a relief in basketball and in American football to show his emotions. 1
