Angrry.exe™
Romania ranks 5th in Europe according to the number of workers in the automotive industry, with 185,000 employees. The only countries ahead of Romania are Germany, France, Poland and the United Kingdom. Romania is one of the countries with the most developed automotive industry in terms of total number of workers, despite the fact that in our country there are only two car factories. Thus, according to official data published by the Association of Automobile Manufacturers of Europe (ACEA), Romania has about 185,000 employees in the automotive industry and occupies the 5th place in the European Union. The ranking is dominated by Germany with 877,000 employees, while France ranks second with 223,000 employees and is followed by Poland with 203,000 employees. The fourth position belongs to the United Kingdom, which has a minimum advance in front of Romania: 186,000 employees. With the exception of Poland, no other country on the east side of the continent has more employees in the auto industry than Romania. Even though it benefits from several factories, including premium manufacturers such as Audi and Mercedes-Benz, Hungary has only 98,000 employees in the car industry, while Bulgaria is far behind with only 24,000 jobs. The only East-European country that comes close to Romania is the Czech Republic, where the presence of Skoda is visible through the 177,000 jobs. The Dacia plant in Mioveni currently has nearly 15,000 employees, while Ford is expected to reach about 6,000 employees this year following the recruitments currently underway for the production of the new Ford Puma SUV. Therefore, the two factories have a total of about 21,000 employees. The remaining 164,000 employees also work in the automotive industry for the many components suppliers present especially in Argeș county and in Transylvania counties.
