The Yumbilla waterfall, one of the beauties of the Amazon, is in the Cuispes district, Bongará province of that department. It measures approximately 895.4 meters and is one of the five largest waterfalls in the world.

This waterfall currently receives a large number of Peruvian and foreign visitors, who upon arrival fall in love with its majesty and everything that surrounds it.

HOW TO GET?
ON YOUR OWN
Arrive in Chachapoyas and take a car to the town of Pedro Ruiz. Then go to the Cuispes district (you can do it on a motorcycle taxi). Now you will have to do a 2 and a half hour walk on a trail and you're done.

TOUR
If you prefer a direct route, then you can opt for a tour. Here, you will find some options and you can also visit other places.

WHAT TO DO
Taking pictures, taking a dip and walking around the place are some of the activities you can do, which will help you relax and forget about any tension.

TIPS
Use sunscreen, sunglasses and wide-brimmed hat.
Wear a waterproof jacket because the weather may change unexpectedly.
In a small backpack includes water bottles and snacks for the road.
