AFP PHOTO Caracas and several regions of Venezuela suffered a massive blackout on Monday afternoon, AFP journalists and user complaints found. The ruling left most of Caracas without supply at 4:41 p.m., while citizens on social networks reported cuts in at least half of the country's states. The state-owned National Electric Corporation (Corpoelec) only reported a breakdown that affects sectors of the capital. The Venezuelan states that remain without electricity are: Distrito Capital, Aragua, Carabobo, Anzoategui, Bolivar, Vargas, Zulia, Nueva Esparta, Monagas, Cojedes, Tachira, Sucre, Falcon, Portuguese, Yaracuy, Miranda, Lara and others to be confirmed. The Caracas Metro reported that lines 1, 2 and 3 are not available to users. #ATENCION informs our users that due to electrical power failure there is currently no train service on lines 1,2 and 3, contingency route is activated with units of #MetroBus #ZOR - # PRO # ZOR - # SEE # ZOR - # ADJ- # ZOO #ZOR - #RIN. - Caracas Metro (@metro_caracas) July 22, 2019 The blackouts in Venezuela have been constant throughout 2019, having the most complicated peak in March when the whole country was in darkness for several weeks. Opposition leaders took advantage of the blackout to express their disagreement with the government of Nicolás Maduro. Another # mature blackout! 16 #SinLuz states at this time. The usurpers have not solved anything about the electrical tragedy in which they have sunk Venezuela. Check that there is no normality in the country! The regime is chaos and destruction!
