In 2014 Daniel Simon, the designer of the motorbikes of the film 'Tron: Legacy' was commissioned to design the rare Lotus C-01, an exclusive motorcycle -in all senses- of which only 100 copies would be produced. At the time they were sold at € 75,000 each.

Manufactured by Kodewa on behalf of the Lotus Group, its monocoque carbon and titanium chassis was created by the German firm Kalex, with a V75º and 1,195cc Rotax twin-cylinder engine that was used in the KTM RC8, but with the increased power of 170 to the 200 CV.

Mounts Ohlins suspensions, Brembo brakes and wheels 19 "and 17" BST and both for its excellent finish, as for its design, as for its personality, is a collector's item.

Now one of those 100, with 'Martini' decoration, will be auctioned off at the Monterey Mecum on August 17, within a month. There is no estimated price or reservation. Of the other 99 Lotus C-01s, one was auctioned last year and the remaining 98 are in private hands (and we imagine that they are wealthy).
