Akrapovic Posted July 17, 2019 Posted July 17, 2019 A few days ago we showed you the photos of the bestial Curtiss Zeus, the electric motorbike of this reinvented American company, which announces 217 HP and a price of $ 75,000 for a motorcycle that takes the design of the Curtiss V8 of 1907. Emerged from the former Confederate (remember that they manufactured exclusive motorcycles of huge and powerful two-cylinder engines) Curtiss Motorcycle not only want to manufacture exclusive and expensive electric motorcycles, but also more affordable models, in a plan called 'Vision 2020' of several motorcycles planned from now until 2023. Affordable electric motorbike One of the sketches presented for its approval is the one shown below, which looks like a version of the Ares shown in its forecast of new models. The arrangement of motor and batteries is the same as in the Ares, although the design varies from that. Recall that the Zeus finally presented does not look too much like the initial project. Curtiss expressed his intention to manufacture electric bikes of all kinds, also at affordable prices "below $ 15,000," they said, and this sketch is a simple motorcycle, although clearly far from being a production motorcycle, since it lacks headlights, instrumentation, mirrors, etc, while maintaining the front suspension type 'Hossack', typical of the brand (since it was Confederate) and chain transmission, instead of placing the engine directly in the rear hub. As in the case of the Zeus, we must wait for the production model to know its real appearance, although it should be based on this sketch. 2
