Akrapovic Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 Michael 'Woolie' Woolaway, from Deus ex Machina, already knows what it is like to play Pikes Peak, known as 'Road to the Clouds', which is held every June in the United States, precisely this Same weekend. Last year, Wollaway participated with a very prepared and very modified - by himself - Ducati Multistrada 1200, but as he says "I was wrong last year, since I did not realize how narrow the route of the Pikes Peak was , so I had to push the bike a lot, "Woolie explained. "The goal of this year was to build a light and fast bike, which was comfortable to drive and manageable and, what is more important, to turn well at the corners." This year 'Woolie' will participate with a smaller and more powerful Ducati, the Ducati Streetfighter 1098 Beastie, the 'Beast'. The new chassis comes from a Ducati Streetfighter 1098, and the tires are carbon fiber BST, with Öhlins suspensions. The tweezers are from Brembo and the BrakeTech discs. The engine has a closed ratio Nova gearbox, and the exhaust is from SC-Project. The ECU is from Micro Tech. The steering head is a 999, welded on the Streetfighter chassis, for a better steering angle, and there is a longer swingarm, made of magnesium. The bike weighs 150 kg, for a power of 180 hp. There is no electronics, but we would not be talking about a whole 'Beast' ... it will be interesting to see it in front of the new Streetfighter V4.
