The operations were carried out this weekend in the neighborhoods of Seville, Cisneros, Poblado, Belén and others in the center of the city, where the soldiers found a sale of "marijuana camouflaged in foods such as chocolates with aluminum foil wrappers and capsules with marihuana oil ", which according to the institution is consumed" in vaporizers and electric cigarettes ".

The Police explained, through a statement, that the idea of smoking marijuana in these elements is to avoid raising suspicion, as they take advantage of the fact that vaping has become increasingly common in the streets.

    "The foregoing, with the purpose of evading the authorities' controls for its novel modality, because, in order to establish in the field that it is a narcotic substance, an approved preliminary identification test (PIPH) must be carried out, since its smell and characteristics are not typical of those that are commonly known, "said the institution.

This same version was ratified by Elmecer Camacho, commander of the Metropolitan Police, in Telemedellín, who said that with this new modality to market and consume the substance, it is increasingly difficult to identify the person who is smoking.
"We have capsules that are impregnated with marijuana in high concentration and are the ones that they use in vaporizers, in which they intensify the concentration and the effects of it. With this new method, in addition, seek to evade the controls of the authorities because it does not have the same smell of marijuana, "said the official at the station.
In the search operations, the police arrested seven people, including six women, of whom there are three of Venezuelan nationality.
