The 24-year-old, who was on loan to Monaco, failed to find only Atletico Madrid at its beginnings. After this loan he has been officially sold to the club of the Principality. The amount to be paid is 20 million euros. It was the same figure that Atletico paid for at Sporting Lisbon even though he originally claimed to have received a free player. This was because the player had disconnected the contract with the Portuguese club because of many irregularities in the club. The player has signed a contract for the next five years, so until June 30, 2024.
