The epicenter is 100 kilometers deep and 119 kilometers southeast of San Salvador A tremor, which has reached 4.6 degrees on the Richter scale, has shaken El Salvador on Monday, according to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC, according to its acronym in English). The earthquake took place at 03:12 local time. The epicenter has been located 100 kilometers deep and 119 kilometers southeast of San Salvador. According to the testimonies collected by the EMSC, the earthquake has been "strong but short", or "strong enough to wake me up". Later in 2h there was another. The first occurred at 12:41 am, with a magnitude of 3.6 degrees. Its epicenter was recorded 56 km southwest of Playa La Zunganera, La Libertad and with a depth of 45 kilometers.
