Microsoft has taken a number of steps lately to get closer to the open source community, and the newest decision in this regard was to make the source code for the Windows Calculator available to those interested. It can already be found on GitHub. The Windows computer is among the most recognizable software programs, being part of the operating system since its first version in 1985. Basically, if you ever used a computer it's almost impossible not to have it with him.

Microsoft licensed Windows Computer under the MIT license, the same type used in other open source projects such as .Net Core, Visual Studio Code and even MS-DOS. According to the company, it is a measure that will open new directions of development towards a wider community. Developers can help design new features and even work with Microsoft engineers to implement them. Over time, the Windows computer has evolved from performing simple arithmetic functions into an appropriate science calculator, adding complex features and many conversion options.

Although it can be considered a good PR tool, Microsoft's decision can make Windows Computer an easy-to-use introduction to company-deployed development technologies such as XAML and Universal Windows Platform. For many of the young developers, the first program they created was a simple computer, so they now have the ability to see the internal mechanism of the most po[CENSORED]r computer of all time.
