Real Madrid had planned that Luka Jovic was the first signing to announce after ending the season. Everything pointed to this and there were even doubts that the Serbian striker was going to get on the Eintracht plane that was due to go to China. Finally, Jovic has been part of the expedition of the German club for the Asian tour and his signing has been paralyzed by its high price.

Eintracht Frankfurt asks for more than the 60 million euros offered by Real Madrid. The Germans wanted 70 'kilos' and even in recent days it has been pointed out that they would now ask for 100 to stand out in the negotiations. Madrid will in no case pay that price outside the market, although it does not mean that its signing is discarded.

Jovic is still the first option of Madrid to strengthen his lead, but he will have to lower his pretensions. The Eintracht is tightening the rope and even threatens to retain its star, but at the same time knows that it will be very complicated. Fredi Bobic, the club's sporting director, said on Thursday that they do not need money but "there will be nothing to do if they decide to leave."

Madrid hope to close his signing

The Eintracht tries to stretch as it can the negotiations with Madrid. First putting a prohibitive price - waiting for a club to raise the bid - and then declaring that they do not need to sell. Madrid is not in a hurry. Although the plan was to present Jovic and then Hazard -who will arrive after the final of the Europa League-, summer has not even started so there will not be madness with the whole market ahead.

The Barcelona could be one of the clubs attracted by the step back that have given the negotiations with Madrid. The interest of the azulgranas comes from far, to the point that he had tied his signing months ago. That fell, although on that occasion they were his agent -which he offered to several European clubs- and the player who threw the operation overboard. Jovic did not want to play at Barcelona because he did not see a place on the team, as his father said. When Madrid entered the scene, the other options went to a secondary level.

Jovic wants to play in Madrid and that is the most important thing. The desire of the player can be key to unblocking the negotiations, now in neutral. The Madrid does not exceed 60 'kilos' and it is not expected that any club will break the market and reach the 100 that has been targeted these days that Eintracht wants. The Barcelona has other millionaire operations to undertake (Griezmann, De Ligt ...), the PSG is now pending to retain its stars and Chelsea still can not sign this summer.

Jovic spends these days in China waiting to know his future. The Serbian is the media claim of Eintracht on this tour, although it remains to be seen if he plays the friendly match played by his team in the city of Foshan against Wolfsburg. This forces to delay his signing for Real Madrid, which - however much the Eintracht tense the rope - seems to end up closing at the wish of the player and the white club.
