Al Baskonia is choked by the first assault against CSKA

Al Baskonia held the bellows until the break in the first game of the series of quarters against CSKA in Moscow, just until Sergio Rodríguez appeared, dressed in red, to channel the tie that leads to the Final Four. It was not so much the score as the feeling that the Baskonia was beginning to lose the control it had maintained for almost twenty minutes.

After the break, this lack of control was fully apparent. It was when the figure of Sergio Rodríguez finally appeared, that in a couple of minutes he destroyed the team from Vitoria with three triples and two stellar assists. In an instant, Baskonia was far behind on the scoreboard and could not find the way back to the game. Nothing came to Perasovic, who despaired at the apparent passivity of his people and the hyperactivity of the Russians. The strength of Poirier was diluted as time passed, and Shengelia does not yet seem able to lead the team after his long injury.

Many minutes before the match ended, the Baskonians saw it impossible. They were dedicated to throwing triples without fortune, and, perhaps, to reserve forces for the second party of the series. But do not be deceived. They know that CSKA is the favorite. More still after the first game.
