To mark the 30th anniversary of its debut, Mazda has prepared a special edition of the MX-5. This is called the MX-5 30th Anniversary and will be exhibited at the Chicago Auto Show, an event that opens its doors on February 9th. To ease fan waiting, Mazda officials have also published a teaser picture of the future of the MX-5 30th Anniversary. Mazda's anniversary edition will be based on the RF version with a hardtop ceiling, and on the exterior, the Japanese will also prepare a special body color. For the time being, Mazda has not announced how many copies of the 30th Anniversary MX-5 will be assembled. From 1989 until the end of last year, Mazda sold more than one million MX-5 units globally, and 350,000 of them arrived in Europe.
