With this marker after the end of the match, both are tied at 1 point in fourth and sixth place respectively. The first team to score was the visiting team, who opened the box thanks to a goal by Ivan in the 6th minute. The Columbus Crew put the tables through a goal from Sauro moments before the final whistle, at 41, finishing the first time with a 1-1 on the scoreboard. The score did not move in the second half, so the duel ended with a 1-1 result. The Columbus Crew coach, Caleb Porter, gave Robinho Barbosa access to the field to replace Meram, while Parker, Muyl and Nealis were replaced by Long, Epps and Duncan by the New York RB. The referee reprimanded Afful, Trapp, Pedro Santos and Francis from the Columbus Crew and Long and Cásseres from the New Jersey team. 1
