The German and Argentine teams will meet again in a friendly compromise on October 9 in Dortmund, the German Football Federation (DFB) confirmed on Friday.

"In a repeat of the FIFA World Cup finals of 1986, 1990 and 2014, Joachim Löw's team will face the two-time world champion at Signal Iduna Park," said the top German football official through of a statement.

The last time both performances clashed was in September 2014, when they measured forces in Dusseldorf with victory (4-2) of the 'Albiceleste', which found some relief after losing to the Germans the World Cup final that year.

Only two months before, the 'Die Mannschaft' won its fourth world title in Brazil 2014 with a victory by the minimum (1-0) in the extension of the defining duel with the South Americans.

The preparation duel will serve to measure the evolution of the teams led by Joachim Löw and Lionel Scaloni, respectively, who are in the process of reconstruction after a discreet participation in Russia 2018.

"The sports management had explicitly requested to play as soon as possible against a very large team to try and continue to make cash progress," said Reinhard Grindel, president of the DFB.
