Pierre Latour (25) broke the scaphoid left on Friday, after falling in training before the United Arab Emirates Tour begins Sunday. The Drôme rider was traveling with his teammates AG2R La Mondiale when the accident occurred. His front wheel sank into a rut and the winner of the white jersey during the last Tour de France was unbalanced. "He will be operated in France and his absence is estimated at six weeks," said Dr. Eric Bouvat, head of the medical service of the AG2R La Mondiale team.
