I can change the rules: You can stay without a permit for a month if you are surprised with the phone in your hand

The Romanian Parliament, at the proposal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, amended and supplemented the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 195/2002 on traffic on public roads with a paragraph on the complete prohibition of electronic devices for phones / tablets in the wheel or on bicycles / trolleys if kept in hand.

"During driving, the driver is forbidden to keep in hand or to use the hands in any way of the mobile phone as well as of any mobile device provided with the recording or text, photo or video recording function", is shown in the law.
If the driver violates any traffic rule while using the mobile phone / tablet he / she remains without a driving license for 30 days.

Drivers will be punished with 9-20 points - fine (4th grade) and 6 penalty points if they are surprised to use the phone while driving.

And cyclists or those using trotters risk fines for using the phone while driving. "Keeping in hand or using hands in any way during the walk of the mobile phone as well as any mobile device provided with the recording or playback function of text, photo or video by the driver for whom the mandatory requirement is not provided possession of the driving license, "the article states.

 
Within 60 days from the date of publication of the present law, road police within the Romanian Police carry out information activities for the participants in the traffic as defined by the Government Emergency Ordinance no. 195/2002 on the public roads, republished, with the subsequent modifications and completions, regarding the prohibition, valid during the walk, holding in hand or using hands in any way the mobile phone or any mobile device provided with the function recording or playing text, photo, or video.

 

The provisions of art. It shall enter into force within 60 days from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, of this law.
