Electric cars currently have a fairly low autonomy, especially in winter, when temperatures drop below 5 degrees. That's why in this article you have some ideas on how to save energy with an electric car, regardless of the season.

- Leadership management, easy saving

Whoever prevents, adapts to traffic, lets his electric car run freely and uses the moment, saves a lot of energy. This increases autonomy, makes the environment well and protects you mentally.

- Allow the vehicle to run

When using the freewheeling in D (drive), the electric car runs almost without any resistance on the part of the engine - so no power for propulsion. Advantage: greater autonomy. Simply take the foot from the accelerator pedal at the right time, let the car run and save.

- Use travel profiles
With a push of a button you can adapt the performance of the electric car to the desired behavior: greater autonomy? More Dynamics? Depending on the desire, the maximum speed is limited or adapted, e.g. cooling. Press the Mode button (for travel modes) and start driving.

 

- Avoid unnecessary ballast
Each kilo of luggage is energy: 100 kg reduces the autonomy by about 5 km. So, take a look in the trunk. Some things do not have to accompany you everywhere.

 
- Check the tire pressure

Energy saving starts already before traveling with a simple tire pressure test: the tire pressure corresponds to the maximum pressure indicated on the inside of the tank flap or the door frame. In this case, rolling resistance is reduced - as is the energy consumption.

- Use consumer comfort with measure

Air conditioning and heating are comfortable, but it affects the autonomy of electric cars if they work permanently. Adjust the temperature as best as it can while loading, comfortably from e-Manager and pay attention during driving, which comfort consumers are in use - and that you really need.

Electric cars or plug-in hybrids go much nicer than conventional ones, they accelerate quickly, we're better ortizing the bad roads, wearing instant warmers, but they still have a cold problem, at zero degrees, urban consumption is 20kWh.
