LeBron James does not give a truce, shines match after match and returned to do it with a triple double in the victory of the Lakers against New Orleans (112-104). It was a new demonstration of his ability to excel in all aspects of the game: 24 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists. It was his third triple-double with the Lakers. Nobody, in his 16th season in the NBA, has got as many triple-doubles as he does. It is admirable his regularity in excellence, about to turn 34 years old. This season he averaged 28 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.
The Lakers have settled in fourth place in the Western Conference. Along with LeBron stood out Kyle Kuzma, with 23 points, Brandon Ingram, with 18, and the 21-year-old Bosnian center Ivica Zubac, with 16 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.

Utah has recovered in recent games the line that gave so many successes last season. His defensive effectiveness wreaks havoc on his rivals and so it happened in his triumph in Portland (90-122). Ricky Rubio recovered his aim and scored 24 points, with a 4 of 4 in triples, and also delivered eight assists. He was joined by Korver, with 18 points, Gobert, with 11 points and as many rebounds, and Joe Ingles, with 15 points and seven assists. The Jazz won in spite of the bad moment that crosses its star, Donovan Mitchell, who only scored one of the 10 field shots he made.

Utah tries to recover its options to qualify for the 'playoffs' in a Western Conference in which the competition is huge. One of the teams that has gone out of that eight first places is Memphis, who suffered his fifth consecutive loss to fall in Sacramento (102-99). Mike Conley, with 23 points, seven rebounds and five assists was one of the few highlights. Marc Gasol, wrong in the shot, contributed 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists. The Kings claimed 28 points from Buddy Hield, 14 from Bogdanovic and Fox and 12 points and 13 rebounds from Cauley-Stein.

Charlotte beat Detroit (98-86) with 24 points from Marvin Williams, 22 from Kemba Walker and a good contribution from Willy Hernangomez, with 11 points and six rebounds in 20 minutes. In the Pistons highlighted Blake Griffin, with 23 points, and Andre Drummond, with 17 points and 16 rebounds. José Manuel Calderón had six points, three assists and two rebounds in 20 minutes.

Indiana broke Brooklyn's stunning run of seven straight wins (106-114). The Nets could not overcome the 26 points, nine rebounds and six assists of Victor Oladipo, the 21 points of Thaddeus Young and the 17 of Bogdanovic and Sabonis.

Milwaukee won in Boston (107-120) with 30 points, eight rebounds, five assists and three blocks from Giannis Antetokounmpo and 21 points and nine rebounds from Khris Middleton. The Celtics fell short with Jaylen Brown's 21 points, Jayson Tatum's 20 points and Kyrie Irving's 15 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.
