Press conference on a case study of the violations of religious freedom in China

On December 14, 2017, a press conference with the theme of "Violations of religious freedom in China: a study of persecution against Christian

                                        

minorities" was jointly carried out by the Center for Studies on New Religions (CESNUR) and the Center for Studies on the Freedom of Religion, Belief and Consciousness (LIREC) in the Italian Chamber of Deputies in Rome. The meeting focused on the appeal that was made regarding rejected asylum applications and the imminent repatriation of the majority of the Christians of the Almighty Church of God who had fled to Europe. It was also the first time that a press conference was held on the persecution of the Almighty Church of God in the Roman Chamber of Deputies. Members of the Senate, Chamber of Deputies and an internationally renowned expert in research on new religions, Professor Massimo Introvigne, gave speeches separately, calling on all European countries to approve the asylum applications of these Christians in accordance with the International Refugee Agreements.
