This new model uses the same Cayenne base already launched this year, therefore, the design, interior and technology used are exactly the same. How to distinguish an e-Hybrid from a Cayenne S or another Cayenne? Very easy, just look at the insignia with fluorescent background, the same color that you will also see in the calipers of the brakes.

With regard to mechanics, which is the most striking and that is not shared with the other Cayenne, Porsche has been responsible for making everything a little better and more convenient. The 3-liter V6 is quite similar to the previous e-Hybrid, but now has a turbocharger instead of a mechanical compressor. This new engine delivers 340 Hp and 450 Nm of torque, 7 Hp and 10 Nm more than the previous one. However, it is the electric motor that receives the greatest upgrades, with an increase of 95 Hp (70 kW) to 136 Hp (101 kW) and from 310 to 400 Nm of torque. This means that, in total, the Cayenne e-Hybrid 2019 develops 462 Hp and 700 Nm of torque, considerably more than the 416 Hp and 590 Nm of the Cayenne of last generation.

As you can imagine, this also improves its performance, achieving 0-100 in 5 seconds closed, a maximum speed of 253 km / h and a maximum speed in electric mode of 135 km / h. The previous model to 0-100 in 5.9 seconds and did not exceed 249 km / h (125 km / h in electric mode). The power of the Hybrid Cayenne can be modulated thanks to some driving modes, courtesy of the Sport Chrono pack, including Sport and Sport Plus modes, as well as more economical modes, forced charging mode and battery "save" mode.

Porsche redesigned the Cayenne E-Hybrid undercarriage, where the electric motor acts in conjunction with the separator clutch in the transmission and engine. In contrast to the previous electrohydraulic system acting on an axle, the clutch is electromechanically driven, which ensures even quicker reaction times.

For the transmission, the new Tiptronic S gearbox, recently developed for the Cayenne range and with eight gears, is used. This transmission is associated with the Porsche Traction Management (PTM) system for the AWD of the Cayenne, where an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch participates.

The Porsche Active Suspension Management system (PASM) comes as standard. Among the optional equipment are the electric balance stabilization system (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control, PDCC) and a towing ball for loads of up to 3.5 tons.
