Audi e-tron GT Concept, the next rival of the Tesla Model S will arrive in 2021

The production version of this model will share elements with the Porsche Taycan and not only have a striking design, it also promises high performance.

After presenting the e-tron truck, Audi remains firm in its intention to offer a family of 100% electric models and now anticipates the arrival of a four-door coupe with the e-tron GT Concept, whose dimensions and proportions are similar to those of an Audi A7 Sportback and will hit the market in 2021.

The eye-catching appearance of the Audi e-tron GT Concept configures a body that measures 4.96 meters in length, 1.96 meters in width and 1.38 meters in height, with a wheelbase that approaches three meters. It is mounted on the new Premium Platform Electric Platform (PPE), developed in conjunction with Porsche.

According to the manufacturer, the body is built mainly in aluminum and ultra high strength steel, although the roof is made of polymer reinforced with carbon fiber. Draw attention to showy 22-inch wheels, paint color (called Kinetic Dust) and Matrix LED Laser headlights, with long-range beam.

Its drive is in charge of two electric motors (one on each axis), whose combined power is 590 horsepower and is managed by an electric drive that regulates not only its operation, but also the amount of torque that is sent to each wheel. It is powered by lithium-ion batteries of 90 kWh capacity.

In the Audi e-tron GT production, the autonomy would exceed 400 kilometers and with a fast charging system, could recover 80% of the energy in just 20 minutes. It has carbocerámicos disc brakes and the cams behind the rudder can regulate the intensity of the braking at the time of decelerating the car.

Audi indicates that the tuning of this model is carried out by the sports division Audi Sport GmbH and specifies that the production model can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in about 3.5 seconds and it would only take a little more than 12 seconds in reach 200 km / h, while the maximum speed will be limited to 240 km / h.
