River Plate became the Champion of the Copa Libertadores in its 2018 edition after coming from behind and winning 3-1, in time of compensation to a Boca Juniors in the first final of the history of the tournament played outside the American continent.

Boca Juniors was the team that proposed the rhythm of the game in the first half. River, could never decipher the way to have the ball and distribute it in a better way as the Xeneize table did.

Pablo Pérez had two very clear options in the first half to put Boca up, which were lost due to the lack of good aim. River, was dedicated to contain with an excellent performance by Pinola and Maidana.
