Nissan Murano 2020, a more colorful and better equipped crossover

This precursor of the crossover is updated in terms of design and connectivity, in order to stay current in such a competitive market.

In order not to give ground to its main rival (Ford Edge) and prepare for the arrival of new proposals (Chevrolet Blazer or Honda Passport, for example), the Japanese house presented the update of the Nissan Murano at the Los Angeles Autoshow 2018, whose current generation already has a few years in the market.

The changes are quite subtle in the body and go through a refreshed front, with chrome accents and more aggressive strokes, which add to the LED lighting present in the headlights and scouts. Additionally, the design of the stops was modified and various elements were accentuated on the outside, in order to give it a more sporty appearance.

Nissan points out that the Murano 2020 also registers novelties at the level of customization, as there are new wheels of 18 or 20 inches, option to have leather upholstery, metal sconces, light wood or dark wood, contrast finish for seats, console and armrest and three new colors: Sunset Drift Chromaflair, Mocha Almond Pearl and Deep Blue Pearl.

An important update of the Nissan Murano 2020 is related to connectivity, as the Nissan Connect interface comes with an enhanced GPS navigator with 3D graphics, satellite images and real-time traffic information.

The manufacturer indicates that depending on the level of equipment of the Nissan Murano (S, SV, SL and Platinum), it will be possible to incorporate the Safety Shield 360 package, which includes the automatic emergency braking system with pedestrian detection, blind spot warning , cross traffic alert, lane departure warning, high light assistant and automatic reverse braking.

For the rest there are no other developments in this crossover and the well-known 3.5-liter V6 atmospheric engine, which produces 260 horsepower and is managed by the Xtronic CVT continuous-drive box, remains in force. Depending on the level of equipment, the Nissan Murano 2020 can be ordered with front-wheel drive or permanent total on all four wheels.
