In one of the longest extraordinary assemblies of the Dimayor, lasting more than seven hours, the Grand Final of the League between Junior and Medellín was postponed. After a meeting last Tuesday between the presidents of the two clubs and the head of the Dimayor, Jorge Enrique Velez, in which it was said that the dates were irremovable, the issue was put to the vote of the assembly. Medellín complained about the decision in a statement: "The company does not consider the measures adopted by the assembly members fair or appropriate because they cause a clear detriment to our institution and are swollen." And those complaints were joined by one of the leaders of the DIM, Andrés Ricaurte.

The assembly also decided to approve the creation of the Premium channel for the transmission of Colombian professional soccer matches, starting in the second semester of 2019. The vote was 35 votes in favor and one against: the president of Cúcuta Deportivo, José Augusto Cadena, as he could establish TIME. The directors authorized Vélez to close the negotiation with Win Sports, the current channel of Colombian professional football rights.

Cut out the Women's League

The assembly approved the continuity of the Women's League, but only the participation of the teams that have a place in the international tournaments in 2019 is mandatory, that is, Deportes Tolima, Atlético Nacional, Junior, Equidad, Medellín, Once Caldas, Rionegro Águilas and Deportivo Cali. Of those clubs, the last four did not have a team in that tournament in 2018.

The news is known just when Atletico Huila, the current champion of the League, qualified for the final of the Copa Libertadores feminine, which will play tomorrow in Manaus (Brazil) against Santos.
