Remaining without an OS for mobile phones, Microsoft has chosen a more profitable strategy to expand as many of its own services to already established mobile platforms and ensure the best communication of these devices with the Windows 10 PC platform.

It's not new, Apple has long been providing synchronization and automatic data transfers between iOS devices and Mac OS-based PCs. But in the case of Microsoft, we talk about compatibility with both mobile platforms, Android and iOS, substantially increasing the user base that might prefer Windows 10 to interact with the mobile phone.

So, starting with the 1803 build, Windows 10 will allow you to automatically sync your phone images and even send SMS messages to your PC. The functionality that is currently at a limited stage will eventually allow dictation of SMS messages from the PC using voice recognition technologies and handwriting using Windows Ink.
