Angrry.exe™
Such floods tend to occur every year in the rainy season, exacerbated by poor infrastructure and lack of flood protection planning, but this year the damage was the worst in 2012. "Based on the available data, 100 people have so far died in 10 states," said Sani Datti, spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), following torrential rains that have fallen in recent days. He said four states had declared the state of national disaster, namely Kogi, Niger, Anambra and Delta, which means that the federal government took over the search, rescue and treatment of the victims. The floods partially sank the houses in the city of Koji, Lokoja. The city is at the confluence of Benue and Niger, which is the third river in Africa, making it particularly vulnerable. Around the city, the locals used canoes to make their way through the houses. Nearby, the flood control walls built by the government have remained incomplete.
