Angrry.exe™
If you have an Android 9.0 Pie compatible device and you've noticed a strange behavior lately, it seems that the problem was even caused by Google. Following a test, Android developers have remotely changed the settings of everyone using Android 9 in the final version or beta, passing devices in "economic" mode. Of course, users were not happy. It seems that both Google and Apple can modify certain remote settings to protect users from attacks. In this case, Google attempted to test the battery-saving feature only on a small sample of devices, but the change occurred on all phones running Android 9.0 Pie. These are the Pixel, OnePlus 6 and Nokia 7+ models, which have begun not to perform in the usual way. Practically, background applications were shut down much faster, notifications were no longer instant, but delayed, and geolocation was disabled, making it impossible to use certain basic applications and phone features. Of course, resolving is simple, making it necessary to navigate the settings menu to the battery category and change it to a common mode of operation. Google has blamed it for saying that it has passed all Android Pie phones in error as "battery saver" as a default setting by mistake. The announcement was made on Reddit, and those who want to change this setting will have to do it manually. If you are running Android 9.0 on one of your devices, it would be a good idea to check your operating profile setting. Even though we knew that platinum owners can change settings on customer phones, it's a little scary to see this functionality in action. Fortunately, a very small percentage of Android users are affected, as Android 9.0 Pie has not even entered the top of Google's monthly releases, suggesting that it has a market penetration below 0.1% of all Android terminals in use.
