OyaYansa
A new report by Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known analyst at TF Securities, points out that Apple will not integrate the fingerprint reader under the screen in the 2019 iPhone. With the iPhone X, Apple sacrificed the fingerprint sensor to grant as much space as possible to the screen. Unlike other manufacturers, the Cupertino company did not want to integrate this component in the back of the terminal, and instead introduced another biometric authentication system, face recognition through the Face ID. While the operation of this system is very accurate and in our analysis of the iPhone X we thought it has a spectacular performance, it is well known that Apple would have liked to include a fingerprint sensor under the screen, but due to technical difficulties on time. The rumors of this last year pointed out that the Cupertino company had not abandoned its intention to implement this technology in their future iPhone, and it was even said that Apple could create an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the screen. However, according to Kuo's new report, it seems that this is still far from happening and that he will continue betting on the Face ID in the 2019 iPhones. The analyst believes that the facial recognition technology of the Cupertino company is much more advanced and secure than any other manufacturer, which is why the corporation does not need to implement another biometric authentication system at its terminals. However, it is not the situation of Android manufacturers, who will bet on FOD technology (Fingerprint On Display) to meet the expectations of users and differentiate from the iPhone. It foresees that this technology will grow 500% throughout 2019, and that Samsung will include it in the Galaxy S10 that it will present in the first quarter of next year.
