OyaYansa Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 Changing the ringtone of current smartphones is a process that may seem simple but often takes a minute to find the right option for it. The Galaxy J7 2017 boasts the Samsung Experience personalization layer and, while it is getting lighter, the change in ringtone or vibration is not as simple as it might seem. Let's see step by step how to configure it. Galaxy J7 2017: change the ringtone and vibration The software that runs on Android in the Samsung has some personalization and reorganization of the Phone Settings so let's go step by step when configuring the ringtone: Open Settings from the desktop or from the notification bar of your Galaxy J7 2017 Enter the section Sound and vibration Within that section we have to choose Tone of calls In the latter we can choose ringtones from a preset list of the terminal or press Others and navigate through the mobile folders to choose the song we want to set as a ringtone Once the tone has been chosen we can see in Settings -> Sound and vibration how the terminal vibration is configured, in a section called homonym (Vibration) and we can customize it if we want it to vibrate or not, in calls or notifications. Another way to change ringtone is to take advantage of a media player option. From there, while we play the song that we want to put as a ringtone, we can press the Options button and choose the Set as ringtone input directly. And last but not least, there is the option to assign a specific tone to a particular contact. For this, we will have to go to Contacts, choose the contact in question, edit it and inside there is a More section and from there Tone will appear. By default the Default will be used, but we can choose the tone we want.
